Mischevious Alex made easy work of Grade 1 company in the Carter Handicap at Aqueduct. A Taylor Made sales grad from the 2018 Keeneland September yearling sale, Mischevious Alex marks the 119th Grade 1 winner Taylor Made has raised and/or consigned since its inception in 1976, and third so far this year alone.
Already a multiple graded stakes winner, the four-year-old son of Into Mischief stepped up to Grade 1 company after two prior impressive victories this year, staying undefeated for his 2021 campaign. Throughout the beginning splits, he ran in a comfortable joint 3rd along fellow Grade 1 winner Mind Control, and moved up around the turn prepared to chase down the leader Chateau at the top of the stretch. After a brief challenge, Mischevious Alex emerged in charge, only pulling away as he found another gear to win by over five lengths, completely wrapped up as he crossed the wire. He earned a 109 Beyer for the effort.
Mischevious Alex was bred by Winstar Farm out of the Speightstown mare White Pants Night. Now with seven wins in 12 starts, he has surpassed $600,000 in earnings.
