Taylor Made sales grad JACKIE’S WARRIOR tallied his third Grade 1 victory as he ran down and bested the previously undefeated Life is Good in the H Allen Jerkens Memorial (G1) Saturday at Saratoga, earning his career best Beyer Speed Figure of 107.
It was a seven furlong contest for the son of Maclean’s Music, and by the top of the stretch the two headlining colts had separated themselves from the rest of the field, dueling down the stretch with JACKIE’S WARRIOR prevailing by a neck under Jockey Joel Rosario, stopping the clock in 1:21.39.
A winner in seven of his ten starts for buyer/owners Kirk and Judy Robison, the colt has now amassed over $1.3 million, a far cry from his $95,000 purchase price at the 2019 Keeneland September sale from the Taylor Made consignment. Jackie’s Warrior was bred by J & J stables out of the A.P. Five Hundred mare Unicorn Girl.
