Beau Recall has continued her great form since being transferred to trainer Brad Cox. She was a nose victor in the G2 Yellow Ribbon Handicap at Del Mar. This brought her record to 4 wins and 2 seconds from 6 starts for Cox. She came out of the race great, and we are pointing her to the G1 First Lady S. at Keeneland on October 5th.
Beau Recall was coming into the G2 Yellow Ribbon off a very impressive second in the G1 Just a Game, where she went her final half mile in sub 44 seconds. In the Yellow Ribbon she sat much closer to the early pace then normal. Her inside post draw allowed her to save ground the whole way, but put her in a pretty tough spot on the far turn. As they entered the straight she had nowhere to go. Eventually with about 1/8th of a mile to go, she shot through to the rail getting up to win by a nose.
This victory brings her earnings to $990,000, and hopefully her next start will make her a millionaire.
