Kentucky Oaks victress SERENGETI EMPRESS has returned to her birthplace, Taylor Made Farm, upon her recent retirement from racing. A multiple Grade 1 winner, including a heroic victory in the 2019 Kentucky Oaks (G1), Serengeti Empress earned $2,175,653 for owner Joel Politi and trainer Tom Amoss.
Most recently, Serengeti Empress finished a game runner-up in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) at Keeneland.
Bred by Tri Eques Bloodstock, Serengeti Empress won both the Ellis Park Debutante and Pocahontas Stakes (G2) at 2, the Rachel Alexandra (G2) and Kentucky Oaks (G1) at 3, and returned this year to win the Azeri Stakes (G2) at Oaklawn Park, as well as the Ballerina Stakes (G1) at Saratoga.
She will now be bred to Spendthrift’s popular sire Into Mischief.
